What is the internship?
The ASAP internship is a paid and credited internship that is available to all students and all majors. The internship provides an opportunity for you the student to take part in creating, producing, promoting, managing all of the events ASAP puts on.As an ASAP intern, you will have the opportunity to develop you skills in areas such as: managing a large budget, leading committee meetings, working in a team environment, working with agents, using effective communication skills, leadership development, public relations, marketing and promotion, planning and producing events and coordinating volunteers.

- Event Planning/Public Relations with Contemporary Issues emphasis
As an ASAP intern you no doubt increase your connections with student leaders and the CSU administration while being fully informed about what is happing all over the campus.
Other Involvement Opportunities at ASAP
Volunteering at ASAP is an exciting way to get involved on campus. When you volunteer with ASAP you will be part of one of our 4 committees that puts on our exciting programs.The committees that you can choose to join are concerts, comedy and lectures, special events, and fine arts. In these committees you will meet and work with new people at CSU by choosing what event or performer ASAP wants to bring to campus, then as a committee you will work together to bring the performer or event to campus then market, manage, produce and watch the program that you and your committee created. Through volunteering you will refine and expand real world work and social skills, and also meet all the performers that ASAP brings to campus. At ASAP we have a great appreciation for the students that volunteer to help us enrich the CSU experience and ASAP shows how much volunteers are appreciated by holding semester dinner banquets for the volunteers were every volunteer gets a gift from ASAP for their hard work. We are looking for dedicated and hard-working individuals to volunteer with ASAP.Contact ASAP as soon as possible and let us know which committee you would like to be a part of for the 2008-2009 school year.
In total there are three different ways to get involved with ASAP, first you can apply to be a coordinator which is a 20 hour commitment with pay and credit, Second you can apply to become an assistant coordinator which is a 10 hour commitment with pay, and last but not lest you can volunteer to be a committee member which is a minimum of 60 minutes a week up to as many hours as you want. All positions are essential to our success.
